Recipe Adapted from Vegetarian Times

Makes approximately 8 servings
1 ½ lbs. small onions, trimmed and peeled*1 ½ cups water2 Tbs. olive oil2 Tbs. honey¼ tsp. ground cinnamon¼ tsp. salt2 cups walnut halves
1.Cut onions into halves or quarters.2. Place all ingredients except walnuts in a large, wide skillet.
3. Bring mixture to a boil. Reduce heat, cover and simmer 5 minutes.
4. Remove lid and cook 10 minutes, stirring occasionally.
5. Add walnuts and cook until very little liquid remains, about 5 minutes. Stir well before serving.
