Weekend Recipes: Glazed Shallots and Walnuts

Makes approximately 8 servings
Ingredients

1 ½ lbs. small onions, trimmed and peeled*
1 ½ cups water
2 Tbs. olive oil
2 Tbs. honey
¼ tsp. ground cinnamon
¼ tsp. salt
2 cups walnut halves
Directions
1.Cut onions into halves or quarters.
2. Place all ingredients except walnuts in a large, wide skillet.
3. Bring mixture to a boil. Reduce heat, cover and simmer 5 minutes.
4. Remove lid and cook 10 minutes, stirring occasionally.
5. Add walnuts and cook until very little liquid remains, about 5 minutes. Stir well before serving.
