Summer Wheatgrass Tea
June 4, 2016

We grow beautiful wheatgrass in Long Beach in our Greenhouse and sell them in small pots and flats for our market visitors. The LI Greenmarket stand often gets many customers excited to buy wheatgrass; either they buy some for their juicing regimes or maybe for the fondness' of their pet cats. And we sometimes get customers who ask for what other ways to use use it.
Yesterday, the LI Greenmarket team experimented with seeping fresh clipped Wheatgrass with ground turmeric, and lemon zest. It was the perfect blend and offered a tasty and zesty kick for the afternoon. Wheatgrass is considered a "Superfood," and is a strong blood- building source. It helps greatly with inflammation and has antioxidant properties which add to its detoxification qualities.
Try this great Summer Tea recipe with your Wheatgrass from LI Greenmarkets.
